In my country the MInister of Education has authority to make policies and regulations in this field, including higher education, or university. So, the university must make a new regulation to accept new students with 14 - 15 years old.

The reason is that the average students need to be exposed to certain areas of knowledge prior to their commencement of the tertiary level. Thank you for your reply. In my opinion, and also the Minister, we gave too much knowledge to the students in the school. Much of the courses in the school do not have correlation with the one in the university. And many knowledge must be memorized. Moreover, we are in a different era. We are in the era of information. We have to evaluate the existing criteria for schooling. Like in Google, this company does not consider the education background of its employee.

So, I arrive to the more specific question for all of us:

In Bangladesh at Government set up, the current provisions are: Primary school-5 years, High school-5 years total 10 years. Probably it is enough. You may follow this in your situation. Thanks.

The longer we stay at schools the mature we become academically. So, as far as my knowledge of the educational systems across the globe is concerned the Indonesian case is very short. Take for example the case in Ethiopia. Students are expected to stay eight years at primary school and four years at secondary schools, i.e., 12 years of schooling. in addition, students are expected to stay three years at the pre-primary school level as well.

Great replies! In my opinion, education today is focused too much on knowledge, while not forming the person integrally, in sound virtues or good habits. We're also seeing a great decrease, and even a disdain, for the liberal arts, which aims at forming the person both intellectually and morally.
