The time it takes for a published journal article to be indexed in SCIE/Web of Science (WoS) can vary depending on several factors such as the volume of articles being processed, the journal's reputation, and the accuracy and completeness of the metadata provided. In general, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months for an article to be indexed in SCIE/WoS after publication. However, it is worth noting that not all journals are indexed in SCIE/WoS, and some journals may take longer to be indexed than others. It is recommended to check with the journal or publication platform for more specific information about the indexing process and timelines.
For a paper to be indexed in the web of science, it depends on the journal itself, and briefly, it may take a few weeks to a couple of months after publication. Papers published in journals with free fees and good reputation, can appear rapidly than others.
mine has not been yet indexed yet even though my paper has been published online in september 2023. what is the reason still not find and no one is providing help or guidance @
Sonali Krishnat Suryawanshi have the same bad experience. My paper was published in July 2023 in Q1 journal and still no indexed. It's absolutely scandalous, even communication with clarivate doesn't help. How did you end up solving it?
I think it is based on the journal, if they send the batch for indexing in sci or sci-e, immediately they usually process from the wos end. But for some journal as they are predatory, they usually didn't get indexed even if hey claim the journal being indexed in wos.
