in 2013 I submitted an article to a journal (ISI Indexed) and it stayed in the status "Awaiting Admin Processing" for one month. I decided to withdraw it.
Based on my experience, two weeks must be adequate. It must not take more than two weeks.
But I have bad experience with a journal when the editor took two months to give me disk rejection. I hate this. If the editor can not handle editorial task, why did he/she accept the task?
I believe that we, authors, should share the experience about that.
