It has been noticed that many bakery items like patties in the name of selling Veg items but brushed with eggs before baking just as better Glazing instead of milk. Those items are wrongly presented or mispresented infront of customers without giving details and are being sold in the name of Vegetarian dish or food. The customers think it as Milk brushed or any pure Vegatable oil based. In FSSAI(labelling and display) regulation 2020, it is clearly mentioned about Non Vegetarian in the definition section in Chapter 1( General) i.e. section 1.sub(o). Is it necessary to think that Egg is vegetarian like other countries do (with respect to fertilised or non fertilised)? Aren't most of the food bakers playing with the sentiments and ethics with respect to Customers' need? [As they don't provide the processing details and neither they show ingredients].How will it be solved as most of them are small or msme type entrepreneurs & also most of them don't think it as necessary? Nevertheless Egg is considered as one of the Allergen. So what are the good steps can be included for food businesses to maintain ethics of human faith? What laws and rules will be be good enough for such fraudulent who play with the ethics and morals of the human? If it has happened with pure veg, it could may happen with Vegan as well.
