I have read in many articles that sodium bisulfite can neutralize/ stop the action of formaldehyde in virus inactivation.
But i have a difficulty in understanding about the mechanism of action on how sodium bisulfite can stop formaldehyde action.
Can anybody give a summary or references where i can read the information, please?
Another question is, what happen to the inactivated vaccine product if we don't give the sodium bisulfite to stop formaldehyde action?
Was it really necessary to stop the formaldehyde action, especially for poultry vaccine?
Thank you for your kind attention and reply.
Best regards,
