My partner and I are currently doing research on the carcino-mutagenic effects of surface-level ozone in the respiratory cells of mice. It is determined that ozone inhalation of female mice leads to fertility issues such as lower progesterone levels and lesser number of ovulated eggs. In an instance wherein a female mouse is already pregnant (fetal stage), how is the fetus negatively affected/unaffected?
