The forced convection system requires long heat up time, high energy consumption, large floor area and some additional setups for air circulation inside the oven. Infrared radiation heating will eliminate these drawbacks. The infrared radiation will be absorbed by the material in order to heat up. This is more efficient in case of curing the powder coated parts.

I fully agree on the fact that infrared radiation will cure efficiently the areas on which the heat source radiates. However, there could be problems with 3 dimension objects, since part of them can shade other parts, which could stay colder for a while. rotating the painted object inbetween several heast souces may fix this.
