Priority substances are included in the assessment of chemical status and so will also be evaluated. Monitoring of complete set of priority substances are at the surveillance monitoring. Their exclusion from the table 2 means that they are not relevant for SR.

Frequency of monitoring is the same for all (41) priority substances - one month frequency (12 samples for year). This fact can affect the measures and authorisation process at national level.

The difference is that priority substances are relevant for the EU and the substance are identified at the national level. Relevant substances are identified at national level, according to various criteria, for example: use, monitoring, discharge… criteria have been described as well in the article. Measures and authorisation process at the national level can be made more stringent, it depends on the national legislation.

Now it is clear. The measures at national level will be less stringent for the above mentioned priority substances after their excluding from the list of reelevant substances valid for the Slovak Republic. Thanks.
