We are conducting a research investigating three variables as predictors of pro environmental behaviour. However I'm confused about how to formulate an additional hypothesis stating a relationship between the three IVs as well. For eg it's easy to write a hyp stating that all three IVs will have a significant relationship with DV but what about a hypothesis about the three IVs?
If your hypothesis is that there is a linear rergession between your IV and their effect DV, a multivariate regression is rather easy, and also tells you if the influence of one variable is large or small. To look at the dependance between the IV, repeat the process with them only, taking each one of them as the DV dependng on the two other IV. The regression coefficient and the confidence domains of teh coefficients in the equations will indicate if there is a correlation or not.
You might look into "path models," which allow you to picture the relationships among the independent variables. But if all three IVs are simply correlated, then you can state that you will assess the effect of each one, after controlling for the effects of the other two.
