Why add the hydrogen in the exhaust and waste all the potential energy it represents? You would gain more adding it before combustion, not after. Reciprocating Internal combustion engines don't need reheat (after burners) unless you plan to use the high temperature exhaust gas maybe in a turbine - in which case why not just use a turbine to start with?

As Tony Maine sir said, adding Hydrogen in the combustion does not provide the much desirable effect. Though your way of utilizing them is depends on your idea.
