I am a fashion designer. I am working on a craft called Kalamkari (hand painted fabrics with natural dye). How I can promote this traditional craft fabric?
It is sustainable(natural dyes used) and ethical(upliftment of craftsmen) fashion. I would like to get help or support from any organization in terms of organizing my firm, financial support and marketing it.

I appreciate your quiry about promotion of"Kalamkari"-traditional craft fabric.As you are aware of the fact that there is a great importance of value of promotion,innovation as well as revival of dying traditional crafts in India.You may pl.approach Office of D.C(Handlooms)/D.C(Handicrafts),Ministry of Textiles,Govt.of India with the relevant proposal for advice.There may be some schemes for funding such projects in the central govt. and Rural/Textile Deptts.of concerned state Govt.
