NASA has released data showing how temperature and rainfall patterns worldwide may change through the year 2100 because of growing concentrations of greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere.

 The dataset, which is available to the public, shows projected changes worldwide on a regional level in response to different scenarios of increasing carbon dioxide simulated by 21 climate models. The high-resolution data, which can be viewed on a daily timescale at the scale of individual cities and towns, will help scientists and planners conduct climate risk assessments to better understand local and global effects of hazards, such as severe drought, floods, heat waves and losses in agriculture productivity.

Seems the environment all over the world is deteriorated. Now itself I feel the difference when visit my country. My God! extreme heat, never felt that bad experience in my life time. Its not my comment itself, hearing from all, in fact it is supposed to be monsoon season. It rains for a while later horrible/terrible heat, we cannot describe. Emad you are talking about 2050!!! God only should save all. Otherwise frequently there should be some Pacts reg. Environment or 'Connecting People to Nature', to educate people about environment so that Nature would be intact.

Who knows that the Ice Age or the Flood may return? In this case, all predictions may be wrong.

Earth was mostly tropical before the petroleum and coal were buried underground. Best estimate is a return to tropical climate when the fuels are all burned. That is about two centuries in the future  So in a few decades the change is noticeable. Warming means more rainfall and collection of lake water in the dry basins, but different patterns of rain and crops.

Geology also can go through a cycle. Heavy elements like uranium slowly sing in the mantle and collect on the solid core. Occasionally the core overheats after millions of geologic years. Tectonic activity is increased and the continents move a bit faster than usual, but still very slow.  Increased volcanism changes the composition of air, something like the year or two following a large volcano eruption, but more often.

We live on  layers of rocks floating on liquid rock. That considered the climate is rather good much of the time. Change has happened through history. Life adapts. Now society wants to stop adapting and for change to stop in the climate.

The Earth was getting cooler for several thousands of years before the large scale burning of fossil fuel started. We might have an ice age at home if the burning wasn't done. Now we burn about 7 times more fuel than is correlated with a stable climate.

Some people say climate is not changing. Then they make agreements for ships to make passage through the Arctic ocean as the polar ice melts. Historic glaciers are disappearing. Many are already gone. But the change occurs slowly enough that people who benefit from burning fuel are not motivated to stop or even slow down.

A small correction is proposed. Some countries make promises, not enough to stop the temperature rise. There is no voice saying to decrease 6/7 of fuel burning for the next 2 hundred years. Voices predict problems but ask for just enough correction to keep the grant money coming until the career ends.

For most people a life of adapting to change is the most reliable plan. They make the changes or experience changes made by others.

In return to our subject, I could not understand why many people including universities staff, international research centers, governmental staffs are NOT caring this international topic??!!, I actively participated in many relevant sites and social media networks and presented suggestions, entrepreneurship, to do some thing(s), by the way before few days when I was driving my car the builtin thermometer in it measured 53 °C at 11:00AM, Hilla, Babylon, Iraq!!

Hope to conduct some useful actions together as RG members.
