How gas hydrate remain stable on ocean sea-floor?

Abundant resources of gas hydrates lie on the sea-floor in a solid form similar to ice. The overall density is less than the density of water ca. 930 kg/cum. Now how they stay on the sea-floor? Why don't they float towards the surface at least until they are solved again into the water at shallower depths?

In addittion to the previous comments just add that gas hidrates forms complex structures, the so-called chlatrates, that gives stability in the seabed to methane gas.
