The very purpose of food security lies in food security to small land holders.In the South Asian countries popularly known as cereal bowl, the average land holding is less than 2.0 ha. Any technology driven boost in agriculture production will not meet its  objective unless it addresses the problems of small land holders..

Food security should ensure smallholders farmers. Moreover we know in southern Asian countries, the average land ownership of less than 1 hectare. It is necessary to have a clear mechanism of increasing production in land use and existing technology for smallholder farmers to be guaranteed.

Unfortunately , if there is a breakthrough in agriculture production through any technological intervention , the aftermath of such developments dont reach to small farm holders..And , that way Eko is right ...

I agree with you Dr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava, we have to focus on the small farmers and disseminate the proven technologies which enhance food production and food security.

I rather want to see it the other way round. Food facility, such as storing preserving and transporting food facilities, by reducing wastages especially  in the context of developing countries would contribute to food security.

If food facility mean:- an operational activity to store, prepare, vends or packaging, or-else supply food for consumption at retailing level but not limited to this only but considers price dimension too. On the contrary food secured mean; a state of having consistent and sustainable access to adequate quality and quantity of  affordable nutritional compounded food.  

Then food facility should secure food security;  assuming simple OLS 

F.Security (Y)= α+f (food facility variables)

Food facility (X) = α +f(storage, packaging, preparedness, vends, type of supply, retailer price, etc)+ε 

X= α+  βi +εi

Y= f(X)

Y= α+  βi +εi

but this has to be supported by theoretical analysis of food security and food facility to specify a kind of model. 

Lets look a theoretical selection impact of aid on growth taking a solo growth model

So what you have to do is find the dependent with theories and literature then organize the independent variable with different structure for your model specification. Specifying a model an interesting step to go through theories and justification  and considering your natures of data.
