Heat stress is now a burning issue for crop production. Currently, researchers focusing on to develop heat tolerant crops that withstand in adverse climatic condition. I want to know the molecular and biochemical mechanisms of heat stress in tropical plants.
Rate of plant growth and development is dependent upon the temperature surrounding the plant and each species has a specific temperature range represented by a minimum, maximum, and optimum , so that the raise of temp. over the maximum temperature for plant growth dramatically affects plant growth through adverse effects on physiological operations in the plant. Definitely, high temperatures effect on some plant characters specially morphology, physiology, biochemical and gene expression. For example, tolerant or resistant plants produce praline or glcine when they front with high temperatures. Because of these, they can continue to long live more and more vis viz sensitive plants.
