I am more and more looking at the fMRI technology as a way of describing the processes of the brain in terms of activation areas over time. I want to link MVPA triggering with EEG signals to see where the activity lies at certain stages in the processing. But I am not sure of availability of the equipment nor how expensive it is to purchase or rent for an experiment. (I know it is dear, but not really how dear).

Currently by using BOLD hemodynamics it is possible to trace activation over time, but exactly how expensive it is to do so, is hidden by the fact that the centers that are doing it, are established technology specialized institutions. Do I need to cozy up to one of these centers to get my experiments done, or is the equipment merely expensive, and poorly distributed yet?
