How did we actually solve the integration part by manual calculation? or can we estimate the area using Microsoft Excel (Solver) etc...?

If you have experimental data you can use Origin software to solve the integral. To calculate manually you could use the trapezoidal rule or Simpson's rule to solve the integration. For simplicity you can put the function to be integrated as (1-Ct/Co) and the integral limits from 0 to 1.
In the past, graph paper was enough. And now it is enough to calculate the integral. There are many numerical methods.
