Darcy’s Law

When we apply the two-phase form of Darcy’s law by correlating the superficial velocity vector of phase ‘i’ relative to the fixed pores (where, relative permeability of phase ‘i’ and capillary pressure are assumed to be dependent only on the saturations);

(A) How exactly are we taking into account IFT between oil and water in the momentum equation?

(B) Can quasi-static capillary pressure curves be used for a highly dynamic flow process?

(C) When could we assume that the associated process remains to be either purely imbibition or purely drainage process, where a macroscopic fluid interface moves across flow in the reservoir?

(D) Given the complex reservoir pore geometry, would it remain feasible to investigate the effect of contact lines and roughness of pore surfaces on macroscopic behavior of oil-water system?

By using Darcy’s law, will we end up with a significant reduction in permeability due to the dissipation associated with the contact line slip?

Will there an induction of extra dissipations near moving contact lines?
