I am trying to perform electrodepostion of transition metal oxides on a Pt substrate using three electrode set up using Ag/AgCl reference electrode. There are many literature in this area which refer to the use of a luggin capillary for taking care of adverse effects of placing a large reference electrode near the working electrode. In this regard my question ism to what extent the use of a luggin capillary is essential for my experiment?
