Does translation of research (papers, books,.....) to native language in a country plays an important role for the development of that country ? Will research be more comprehensive in the language of the country where it has been conducted ? Why some countries have started their development from intensive translation work (Japan, China.....and many others) ?

India has 19 official languages, but almost all research work is in English. To translate meaningfully, you need to know both the subject & the language. So translation of Scientific Papers to regional languages has never worked. Many times an equivalent word itself is not available.

Research documents should be in their language, and any researcher should learn the scientific language.
