According to Mahon's "textbook of Diagnostic Microbiology, 5th edition", that the Aeromonas spp. are counted as an enteric pathogen although not the same as other enteric pathogens such as shigella and salmonella, yet it shows the same level and pattern of virulence as E.coli (which is also a common enteric bacteria). What does it mean by " the same level and pattern of virulence"?
