How does selective breeding and intensive management of wild animals impact on the wild populations? Clearly explain the pragmatic solutions or regulations to this practice?

Selective breeding and intensive management of wild animals such as antelopes and felids is growing in momentum in parts of Africa. The practice develops novel phenotypic traits, but may also raise biodiversity conservation concerns from its impacts on wild populations. Do you agree with this? If so, give your opinion and pragmatic suggestions/regulations. Good examples in literature are most welcome.
