How does NOE decay?

Alright, I understand the origin of Nuclear Overhauser Effect.

So right after the formation of NOE, e.g. the bulk magnetization M has increased by dM, how does dM decay? According to T1 or T2?

Is there some sort of equation to describe this (like in the case of T1 relaxation: Mz = M0*[1-exp(-t/T1)]?

T1. The magnetization is along the longitudinal Z direction
