I am using Nile Red to visualize the lipid droplets of the cell membrane after applying stress on tobacco cells. I suppose not to see the nucleus but there is a clear fluorescent signal around the nuclei. I was wondering if it should be like that? or I should see just the cell membrane an it's droplets?

Nile red (also known as Nile blue oxazone) is formed by boiling Nile blue with sulfuric acid. This produces a mix of Nile red and Nile blue.
Nile red stains lipids red. Nile blue stains nuclei blue.
So I think you might see some nuclei staining when using Nile red.

It does not look like there is any nucleic acid staining. I am not a expert but for me it looks like you have nuclear membrane stained.
