Baluchari is a traditional, gordeous, formal silk wear of Indian women. It is made by the artisans with handloom. The business is suffering from vicious cycle:
Less demand - Price is more or less static - Profit is low - Less capital - Less investment - Less diversification -Less demand
If customer base can be increased through e-commerce; business can be boosted up and one world heritage will survive.
The major reason behind adopting e-marketing for businesses is cost, it needs a small simple investment. This allows for more entrants to the market and then see what can happen. The second step is experimenting products (again simple and chgeap...)
Very relevant question. I suggest to refer to models pursued by AMUL, Lizzat Pappad, SEWA etc.. Having referred to these models, I think it would be easier to pursue an appropriate e-Business / e-Commerce Model(s)
Did you attempt opening a website to sell the products? It is possible as students in my college start a website of their own to sell some product as an assignment in MBA. People have sold artistic product as well as bought Newspapers as Raddi which in turn was sold to paper factory.
Be a seller on popular e-com portals too.

Can market their services through a marketing site depends on the symbols or references instead of writing through an organization leading their business with high confidence or marching their business through the use of a family member or can use special marketing status of their jobs
