How does a soil bacterium recognize its host among many bacteria ?

Soil bacteria

probably on the basis of signal transduction mechanism between the eukaryotic (host) and the Prokaryotic (Bacterial cell)...

while the Quorum sensing mechanism would be used by the bacterium to decide among them about the host...

so according to me these two mechanism may used by soil bacteria to decide their host...
