I am in pursuit of formulating a rich growth medium by supplementing selective amino acids to a minimal medium base, so that I can screen my auxotrophs. And while doing so, I realized that a minimal medium such as M9 which is devoid of all essential amino acids support the growth of microbes.
P.S. It would be of great help if I could refer to some literature that states individual amino acid concentrations in a rich medium such as the lysogeny broth.

You can look in the literature and a variety of investigators have optimized amino acid concentrations in minimal media for E. coli. However as a quick rule of thumb I just use 10ug/ml final concentration and that works well enough for all of the amino acids.
Wild-type bacteria (i.e. not auxotrophs) such as E. coli are capable of synthesizing all of the necessary amino acids using just the carbon and nitrogen sources in minimal medium. The so-called "essential" amino acids are those that people are not capable of making themselves.
