Hello,

I am working on SOC management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). As per the algorithms, I have studied so far, to charge the battery, the controller sends a negative active power reference which should indicate reverse power flow i.e. Battery charging. However, during such an event, the SOC plot still shows battery discharging. I am using the Coulomb counting method to calculate SOC using battery DC current so is it possible there is an error in SOC calculation? Since the active power plot shows a negative power flow so there should be charging of BESS possible. Also, in the current grid model, I am working with, there are four Synchronous generators and this BESS system with no RES.
