How do you view/read text on requested/received publication?

This is a requested and received book chapter. It shows up in its entirety (bar on right) but consists only of blank pages. What to do?

It seems to me that the software installed in your computer is not supporting the PDF.

However, request the author once again for a new file stating your problem
