Dear Krishna, it is very relevant topic. If you have internet connection, you can access different online courses. There are free and paid versions. You can check at udemy, course era and other university sites. You will find courses of your preferences there. Also,in addition you will get completion certificate in most of the cases. There are many good quality video available in youtube, you can also use it. Hope, thses will help.
yes these devices can be used in different ways. just like using internet for browsing make at easy to search answers for your queries and literature. Even you can use your laptop's for your practical executions. You can keep books and other data in your laptop and mobile. Previously it was to difficult to search libraries for books as these libraries are very far from each other. To take books from one place to the other was also not easy. Hence its very useful in using and also using it for sharing assignments and information's with the students even you are at home
As per literature, universities are the first and biggest users of new digital technologies. We , the teachers at university can make maximum and very powerful use of mobile devices in teaching, counselling, and most importantly sharing many Pages of information on unprecedented mobile CONNECTIVITY. Email, Whats-app, Facebook.... are some of the very commonly used digital platforms.
We do use the mobile devices to search different resources i.e. articles, videos, photos, simulations to enhance pedagogical and content knowledge. we access theses resources from websites, mobile applications, blogs, social media websites etc. through online or offline mode . Now a days mobiles devices are being used as an important source of knowledge creation to strengthen personal and professional skills . Mobile devices helps us to access the teaching and learning recourse anywhere, any time.
Integrate Social Media - students already spend so much of their time on social media, integrating its use into your classroom is among the most innovative ways to use technology in the classroom by connecting students to curriculum, classroom resources, and one another.
It is simple in sending assignments and other off classroom activities. I therefore frequently enticed students to check in web addresses and sites to search for solutions to any projected problem.

First and foremost re: How do you use mobile devices for your professional development?- The goal of professional development is, in most cases, the transfer of information /skills /processes into operational settings in which the professional works and is intended to produce results. TRANSFER of what is learned is essential. Any approaches that posit a division between development and professional performance diminish returns on professional development. With the potential of mobile devices (and other forms of ubiquitous computing, too!) there is increased opportunity to 1. Place the development close to or at the point of performance and 2. To either provide it in a form that (a) makes it easier to achieve the performance outcomes or (b ) interferes with goal achievement. This is the challenge of developing for mobile. Let’s reflect on the implications of bringing into mobile assumptions about classrooms, instructor-led, university structures, certifications.
