Some teachers have been so overwhelmed teaching contents, and have overlooked the teaching of cognitive, metacognitive, and affective learning strategies for successful learning. How do you do it?
This is a very crucial topic. A great challenge hear is that different people benefit from different learning strategies and it is necessary yet difficult to know and show them all.
It is definetely time -consuming, as it has to do with strategies.
Discussing with learners everytime about how to learn, what helps us learn and how, might be a start. Practicing different strategies in and out of the class helps too. Brainstorming, getting ideas, applying and evaluating.
This might be of the form of an informal portfolio concerning learning strategies.
