People usually make glycerol stock and store at -80 freezer. Do you remove salts before making the glycerol stock?
I've made freezer stocks of psychrophilic marine bacteria and have not needed to remove salt before making a freezer stock.
I've also made numerous freezer stocks of Vibrio, which love high salty marine conditions, and have not removed salt and they were just fine!

I routinely work with marine strains, and definitively there is no need to remove the salts from the medium. Glycerol stocks or cryovials with beads are ideal for long-term preservation.

You can prepare solution contain: 20% nutrient media with 80% glyserol
Stab culture with 1% agar, 20-50% glycerol stock without removing salt can use for longtime preservation it works very well for my samples.
