Hi,

My model is a unit cell of a woven plain weave composite.

I am trying to plot the stress strain relationship to deduce the young's modulus of my specimen. I have simulated the abaqus model as a simple tension test by setting a displacement of U2=1 and boundary condition U2=0 at the other side.

From using the SUM function, I was able to find the total forces applied on the surface. Hence the stress is deduced as force applied / cross sectional area.

The question is, how do you obtain the strain? Is it the deformation displacement divided by the original length of the unit cell?
