Hi. Let's say I perform an ordinal regression analysis and I use 15 predictor variables of which 5 have turned out to be significant but each predictor has different levels as I have used ordinal variables as predictor variables (please see the image attached). How can someone interpret this?
In multiple regression analysis each variable (predictor) is shown to have a certain percentage of influence on the dependent variable but in ordinal regression a single variable has different levels (1-5) and only one or two of the levels are significant. For example, variable 1 has 2 levels that are significant. How can one interpret such a result? Thanks in advance.
First of all, you need to interpret the results from your assumption tests to make sure that you can use ordinal regression to analyse your data. Then you may determine which of the independent variables have a statistically significant effect on the dependent variable.
Thank you Mahfuz Judeh . I have examined the assumptions and they all indicate that the results are fit to be interpreted. My concern is with regard to interpreting the results, especially when a single ordinal variable with multiple levels (1-5) is found to be significant at one or two levels (level 1 and level 2) and not significant in the case of other levels. It would be great if someone could provide me a link to a paper where the authors have faced this issue. Thanks again.
He is not disputing Mahfuz Judeh's answer. He is asking for help to interpret the results. Let us assume he did his analysis right, how can he interpret the results?
