Hi All,

I have done some imaging using a CMOS camera, taking sequential images at different shutter speeds which then were blended in Photomatix.

But even after blending them the range still is between 0 and 255. Though the final image looks very good and I have no saturation, but I need to have a range for example between 0 and 1000 or even more.

It seems I've been doing HDR photography rather than extending dynamic range? Am I right? What is the difference?

How can I really extend the dynamic range in my imaging?

Thank you very much.
