I have I-V plots for anode material measured in pH=10 electrolyte solution. Now I wish to calculate over-potential of anode. I tried to follow various papers, unfortunately I could not understand the actual procedure. I would be highly thankful to you if I get some useful information.
The fundamentals of such calculation may be seen in the chapter 1 of the book on Electrochemical methods: Fundamentals and Applications by A J Bard and L. R. Faulkner.
This calculation requires the equilibrium potential (Eeq) of the system (i.e., redox reaction). This value should be known from literature or should be determined separately. Then overpotential may be estimated by using the following eqn.
Overpotential = E - Eeq
where E is the potential at which redox reaction takes place, i.e., flow of current occurs in the I-V curve.
I hope you may able to estimate the value.

It is very interesting question and as per my knowledge I can suggest few things which you might also be aware of :
Overpotential is governed by Tafel equation which is rational way. In that equation current density has indirect relation with this effect of pH (activation polarization)
this activation polarization is mostly explained in terms of lower pH but in your specific case when pH is higher the effect of activation polarization is in different way and similarly corrosion effect can also be seen.
Hence according to me four things: your electrode parameter (its potential an nature) , electrolyte (nature and concentration), temperature of your reaction set up, is enough to calculate this problem mathematically.
