There has been a lot of hue and cry over Development especially in the political circle of India. The Prime Minister of India himself said 'It is our endeavor to make Development a people's movement'. In this context i feel a dialogue about 'Understanding development and deciding the developmental path the developing world should choose' is of critical importance because there's a growing consensus among the critics that the developmental path of the developed world is one of the chief causes of the major problems of the world, for example Climate Change etc. This is particularly important also because of the fact that the choices we make have an everlasting impact on the entire humanity, as has been ascertained by the impacts of the developed world on the other parts of the earth.
