MgO has to be ignited at 800-900°C before assay by EDTA, but, how can we obtain calcium content values for calculating MgO content. Can anyone clear calculation issues ?
You can use Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy [EDS] which supported with the scanning electronic microscope SEM. model PHILPS XL-30. then you can get the content and the ratio of the constituents. please see the first paragraph in the item result and discussion through the attached paper.
