In cancer medicine, the use of nanoparticles as drug delivery systems has advanced the bioavailability, in vivo stability, intestinal absorption, solubility, sustained and targeted delivery, and therapeutic effectiveness of several anticancer agents. The surface modified nanoparticles containing physical adsorption and chemical binding method in the surface of the nanoparticle. Hence, the siRNA directly bind with nanoparticle.

It will bind because of physical entalgalment as well as due to charge based interaction. Former is weaker and may loose quickly, while later will be comparatively stronger.

In case of PEGylated NP, physical entanglement will be pronounced as compared to Non PEGylated NOP, because of PEG chains.
