How do levels of P450scc testicular protein and mRNA levels of StAR protein in testes hinder androgen biosynthesis in Leydig cells?

I have found decreased testosterone levels in insecticide-treated rabbit sera samples. How can we explain such decrease in testosterone to be related with levels of P450scc testicular protein and mRNA levels of steroidogenic acute regulatory (StAR) protein in testes?

These two are the first enzymes in the steroidogenic pathway in which the cholesterol is transformed into androgens and estrogenes. StAR catalyzes the transport of cholesterol from outer to inner mitochondrial membrane, where P450-side-chain-cleavege does it's work. It is believed to be one of the limiting steps of steroidogenesis.
