Good afternoon,
I am wondering if someone could explain if any work has been done on the relationship between a kuramoto model of neural oscillators and a linked exogenous pattern of activity.
For example if you had a set of weakly coupled oscillating hodgkin-Huxley neurons that were set up to eventually create a traveling wave, what would be the relationship between that traveling wave and some external pattern of activity? Ie if all of the neurons were coupled to some externally generated theta rhythm would it change the hodgkin Huxley neuron's likelihood to couple or the eventual frequency with which they oscillated? Is there a quantifiable way to model how these two factors would interact?
Thanks!
