I have small problem in my TRNSYS simulation. I want to use different number of solar thermal collectors (cpc) at different orientation. But i couldnt use more than one collector at a time. And also i tried to use other collectors of same efficiency. But result is not same. Any one have solution for it?
Are you trying to use 1 collector and you select the number of collectors in your TRNSYS environment.
I am using Trnsys 17. As per my simulation there are many collectors connected parallel in different orientation. And collector is CPC type. But i couldnt use more than one CPC at a time. (we can use quadratic efficiency collector. But result will be different.) If you have any suggestions please share it with me.

I actually recompiled the source code with different type number. You just need the FORTRAN compiler for this. Source code can be found in Trnsys17\SourceCode\Types\Type74.f90 . Procedure to recompile can be found in Trnsys17\Documentation\07-ProgrammersGuide.pdf. Hope this might help you

-->Just change the type number is source code (For ex Type74a). You have to change this number inside code where ever it is mentioned. Also, number should not coincide with the one available already

-->Problem is that the code is designed in a way it cannot be used more than once in simulation studio. As serial connections are incorporated in code, multiple CPC is not necessary in case of only serial connections. Parallel connections should be made manually in simulation studio, for which you have to use more than one CPC model. So I just compiled n number of times with different type numbers manually.
