It will not work to impregnate carbon granules with hard metals. It could be mixed in a mill if the metals are soft. Another option is to obtain a composite of organic metal salts by combustion in a stream of natural gas. Look at the composite in Fig. 5

As you know, for wastewater applications, you can use carbon nano-cones.

So, you can search "carbon nano-cones" in google scholar to find your favorite papers. Actually, I am working on this subject in my Ph.D. thesis. So, I can help you if you want. In the case of doping, I suggest just one type of metals due to nanoparticle aggregation. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Would it be possible to share more? I would like to synthesis a material as a photocatalyst and hence thinking of impregnation of activated carbon as a starting point.
