I have abundance data for multiple species, from sampling across multiple 1Kmx1Km grid cells. I wish to see if my sampling is sufficient. I am trying to plot a species accumulation curve in EstimateS software. I am unfamiliar with it and am facing some difficulties. I computed the diversity statistics in EstimateS.
1) Is it possible to prepare the graph in EstimateS itself or do I need to do that in MS Excel?
2) Which values from the output for EstimateS should I plot?

Hello! In EstimateS software, you can generate a species accumulation curve directly within the program. You do not necessarily need to use MS Excel for this purpose. To prepare the graph, you should plot the cumulative number of species (species richness) against the number of individuals (or sampling effort). You can extract this information from the output of EstimateS. The x-axis will represent the number of individuals sampled, while the y-axis will represent the cumulative number of species observed. This curve will help you assess if your sampling effort is sufficient to capture the species diversity adequately.
