I have some bivalve biodeposition experiments coming up and the methods describe rinsing filters in ammonium formate but don't give any other details. What concentration do I use? I have the ammonium formate in a salt form at the moment.
See section 4.2 (Is this the process?)
To prepare a 1M Ammonium formate solution:
add 63.06 grams of ammonium formate to a 1L volumetric flask, add ~ 500 mL distilled water and dissolve the salt, then bring up to volume (1L).

You can use ammonium formate (3.6% w/v). Please see my colleagues' publication for reference.
Should peer review of journal articles be paid? And if so, how much? Do people think that this will speed up the publication process? Some publishing houses are making massive profits so the money...
