I obtained the XRD pattern which arranged in cubic position but the peaks are not sharp that need to be improved. I sintered material more step to higher temperature, the pattern still look similar.
It should be clarified as whether the peaks are not sharp or the sharp peaks with more noises. Anyway, the noise can be reduced by the following steps,
1. you have to pack the sample very tightly (you can better pelletize it and scan)
2. Increase the scan rate and steps
3. Reduce the slit width (both)
4. Increase the slit width at incoming x-rays and reduce the slit width at receiving end
Send details as mentioned by Dr. Nolze. Moeover, a picture of your scan can help to retreive information in a better way, therefore please send it too.
periodic arrangement of atoms guides X-Ray to scatter only in certain direction. This will cause high intensity peaks. amorphous phase scatter x-ray in different direction and cause a deterrent effect to form narrow high intensity peaks. as per as your question i think your sample still has some amorphous phase so you can try a bit longer duration synthesis to form a crystalline phase.
