I have four bodies in contact with common faces. I can't use "form a new part " feature for four parts. I didn't see any option to glue required solids. I am simulating a fracture problem. For that, I want to glue three common faces, I don't want to glue fourth common face parts. I am attaching screen shots and think this can be solved by ansys apdl commands. but I am not familiar with apdl commands. So, can any one give me an idea on how to glue particular solids with apdl commands in workbench ?

If you want to form a new part, which by default will have common boundaries (thus "glued"), you must:
1) Generate the geometries (click the thunder icon). When finished, you will have as many parts as you have bodies in the Tree Outline.
2) In the Tree Outline, Ctrl+LMB (left mouse button) on the bodies you want to combine.
3) RMB on one of the selected bodies (a secondary window will appear) and then click on the Form New Part option. Now, you will have 1 part comprised of the selected bodies. The bodies which were not selected will not be inside the part and will not share any boundaries with anything (isolated).

there is an option of contact surfaces in ansys if you apply it the surfaces will be joined . I have used these options to simulate lap joints
Using contacts in between surfaces is not suitable to my case. For calculating fracture parameters, the mesh should be continuous. Like shown in figure, I want common nodes at three interfaces and i want different nodes on two faces at fourth interface. Then only those faces at fourth interface will move away from each other (crack opening) during deformation of body after application of loads.

I need to know ,whether the Adhesive glue type bonding tape can be analysed through Ansys ?
If,Could anybody tell How?
In design modeller just select the bodies. Right click and make new part, it will be glued.
@ Muhammad Waqar select the part and click on explode that will be unglued.

Do we need to add part as glue (like a thin cohesive joint layer) between the contact surfaces?
