I have already asked about question at this forum. i am able to develop a formulation, with the help of a member here, for the purpose. please analyse it.

the data I have, provides quantity (Xi) of an input and its cost (Ci). i need to aggregate price of materials for my translog cost function. form the above information i will find price per unit (Pi). then share of each input's cost (Si) in total cost will be calculated. Si=Ci/C. here C is  total cost of materials. this share is to be used as weight in price aggregation. The price index (P) will be, P=sum(Si*Pi).
