How do I determine the number of areas to select from the sampling frame in stage 1 during 2nd stage?

I'm conducting a study, using 3-stage sampling technique. Stage 1 involves stratifying all the neighborhoods into 3 strata. Stage involves selection of a number of neighborhoods from where calculated number of houses need for the research would be selected in stage 3.
