scintillation proximity assay is done, when to find out the potency of a new ligand compared to a known one to bind to their target receptors. Can anyone suggest any other technique to be used for the same purpose without using radioactivity?

Organ bath experiments are best apart from scintillation assays. Select a tissue on which your test drug reacts and mount it. With the help of known agonist and antagonist you can possibly confirm.

If you have a functional cellular method of detecting agonism, that would be preferable to a competitive binding assay, which only measures binding.
